The Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) has just issued an urgent warning regarding the discovery of a series of poor quality and counterfeit vegetable oil products circulating on the market.
Accordingly, based on the Food Safety Law No. 55/2010/QH12, Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP of the Government and Document No. 4925/CV-CSKT dated September 24, 2025 of the Investigation Police Agency, Hung Yen Provincial Police, the competent authority has investigated and verified information about an enterprise showing signs of violations in the production and trading of cooking oil.
The inspection results at GF Vietnam Food Company Limited (address: Yen Phu village, Nguyen Van Linh commune, Hung Yen province) showed that this unit produces and trades many types of poor quality vegetable oils, including: CHICA vegetable oil; CHICA soybean oil; TAMIN GOLD vegetable oil; GOLDMAX vegetable oil; GOOD vegetable oil; MEGAFOOD vegetable oil
According to information from the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health ), the appraisal results confirmed that the above products are counterfeit and poor quality goods and have been distributed to many provinces and cities across the country, causing concerns about the risk of affecting consumers' health.
To protect consumers' rights, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of Hung Yen province recommends that agencies, units and people increase vigilance and not buy or use vegetable oil products with the above brands.
At the same time, it is recommended to coordinate with competent authorities to monitor, detect and promptly handle cases of circulation of goods that do not ensure quality and counterfeit goods.
