On October 15, at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Germany), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, publishers and distribution units to organize the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnam Book Space.

Attending the opening ceremony, the Vietnamese delegation included Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Pham Minh Tuan - Chairman of the Vietnam Publishing Association; Vietnamese Consul General in Frankfurt Luu Xuan Dong; Director of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Nguyen - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Publishing Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Hanoi City delegation; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City delegation.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam commented that the Frankfurt Book Fair is a symbol of creativity, dialogue and cultural cooperation - where cultures meet, listen and enrich each other. Participating in the Book Fair demonstrates the desire to bring Vietnamese books closer to global readers.

"We appreciate the spirit of openness and respect that the Book Fair has maintained and promoted over the decades. This year, more than 20 Vietnamese publishers and cultural organizations attended the Book Fair, bringing more than 1,200 books in many fields - from literature, history, culture, children to science and digital publishing. Nearly 100 delegates attended, expressing the common aspiration to bring 'Vietnamese Books' closer to global readers," said Deputy Minister Phan Tam.

Through the Frankfurt Book Fair, Vietnam hopes to promote cooperation in co-publishing, translation, copyright exchange, as well as expand investment in digital publishing, e-books, audiobooks and international copyright platforms - so that Vietnamese stories reach readers everywhere faster and more conveniently, so that Vietnam becomes a creative, dynamic and trustworthy partner in the global publishing community.

On the afternoon of October 15, the Vietnamese delegation worked with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Frankfurt. During the meeting, the Vietnamese delegation presented books to the Frankfurt Consulate and the Vietnamese community in Frankfurt.

This year, more than 20 Vietnamese units attended the Frankfurt Book Fair with over 1,200 books in many fields: culture, history, literature, popular science, children's books, digital transformation and digital publishing.

The total exhibition area of ​​the Vietnam Book Space is about 100 square meters. All Vietnamese booths are present in Hall 5.1, located in a convenient location. Nearly 100 delegates representing publishers, businesses, cultural organizations and management agencies participated, demonstrating a strong spirit of integration and the aspiration to bring "Vietnam Books" to the international level.
