Cu Pong Commune Women's Union focuses on supporting women's comprehensive development

On the afternoon of October 15, the Women's Union of Cu Pong commune held the 1st Congress of Women's Delegates of the commune, term 2025-2030.

Attending the Congress were Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Kim Thoa Adrông; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Cu Pông Commune H'Sơn Nie and 100 official delegates, representing 2,380 female members in the commune.

In the 2021-2025 period, the Women's Union of Cu Pong commune has promoted the spirit of solidarity and creativity, effectively implemented emulation movements and key tasks; completed and exceeded 8/8 targets set out in the Congress Resolution.

Specifically, the Commune Women's Union has supported 8 livelihood and start-up models; helped 30 women from poor and near-poor households escape poverty according to multidimensional criteria; and planted more than 600 trees along roads, stadium grounds, and schools in the area.

The loan entrustment work has been maintained effectively, 100% of savings and loan groups operate well, meeting the economic development needs of members and people. In addition, the Commune Women's Union also advised the Commune People's Committee to launch a model of trusted addresses in the community, community communication groups in 9 villages with a total of 78 members, of which 80% are women, 20% are male family representatives.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Women's Union of Cu Pong commune sets the goal of building a team of union officials who are united, dedicated, creative, and ready to enter a new era.

The Commune Women's Union strives to annually support and help 3 near-poor households and 2 poor households headed by women escape poverty, near-poverty and have stable jobs; coordinate vocational training, counseling, and job referrals for 100 or more workers (of which 70% are female workers); each branch mobilizes and supports 1-2 households to meet the criteria of "family of 5 has, 3 clean"; supervises at least 1 policy regime related to women and children; 100% of cases related to women and children occurring in the area are discovered and speak up to protect their legal and legitimate rights...

The Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Cu Pong commune for the 2025-2030 term was introduced to the Congress.

The Congress identified five key tasks and key solutions for the new term, including: Supporting women to develop comprehensively to meet the requirements of the new era, building prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized families; mobilizing society to implement gender equality for the development of women; building a clean and strong Party and political system, participating in state management, building the Great National Unity bloc; developing members and building a professional and strong Association; promoting the active and proactive role of the Association and women in people's foreign affairs.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Cu Pong commune, term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 29 members, of which the Standing Committee has 5 members. Ms. Le Thanh Duan continued to be re-elected as President of the Women's Union of Cu Pong commune, term 2025-2030.
