Training in tourism accommodation management

Việt NamViệt Nam31/07/2023

On the morning of July 31, the Department of Tourism opened a training course on tourism accommodation management for middle-level managers working at 3-5 star hotels in the province.

During the 3-day course, from July 31 to August 2, more than 50 students will be provided with the necessary knowledge and skills related to accommodation management activities by lecturers from Hanoi Open University. At the same time, during the training, students will also practice and learn about the reality at a number of accommodation facilities in the area.

This is a practical activity as in recent years, more and more domestic and foreign tourists have chosen Ninh Binh as a destination to explore . In the first 7 months of 2023, the whole province welcomed 4.9 million visitors, including 4.67 million domestic visitors and 237 thousand international visitors.

The increasing number of visitors requires the quality of human resources in the tourism industry to develop accordingly, meeting the diverse needs of tourists.

However, currently, Ninh Binh's workforce is lacking in both quantity and quality. Necessary job skills such as foreign languages, communication skills, management experience, etc. are limited. In particular, the industry is lacking high-quality workers, especially mid- to high-level managers at 3-5 star hotels.

The training course will contribute to improving the quality of tourism human resources, especially human resources at high-class hotels in the province. Thereby helping accommodation establishments better serve the needs of tourists, making Ninh Binh tourism industry increasingly developed and more sustainable.
