The Vietnamese economy has gone through the most difficult period and moved to the recovery phase in 2024, but geopolitical instability remains, even tends to increase, affecting the economies of other countries/regions. According to businesses, the top 6 biggest difficulties today include: Economic-political instability (77.2%); Competition between businesses in the same industry (74.3%); Increased prices of input materials (57.1%); Slow growth of the world economy (51.4%); Issues related to supply chains, logistics, distribution (40.0%); Impact of climate change, natural disasters, epidemics (40.0%). Accordingly, businesses recommended a number of key solutions: Continue to support tax and fee exemptions and reductions or tax payment extensions for businesses (84.6%); Stabilize the macro-economy, control inflation (71.8%); Cut administrative procedures, simplify regulations related to business activities (53.8%); Improve infrastructure (53.8%); Strengthen trade promotion activities (43.6%). 2024 is the year that marks the year when businesses stand firm and adapt after a difficult period, achieving encouraging results.
