Localities focus on environmental sanitation after floods

BAC NINH - Due to the impact of storm No. 10, many areas in Bac Ninh province were flooded. As soon as the water receded, people quickly started cleaning up the environment, gradually restoring their daily lives.

In Roc Nay hamlet, Trai Rang, Tuan Dao commune, when the sun rose, people mobilized forces to clean mud and soil in the underground area connecting the hamlet to the commune center. According to Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh, Secretary of the hamlet Party Cell, the flood caused the underground area to be deeply inundated, leaving a thick layer of mud and soil that obstructed traffic.

The village has made an announcement over the loudspeaker system, calling on people to wash away the mud together, ensuring convenient and safe travel.

Not only in Tuan Dao, other localities such as Chu ward, Bo Ha commune, Phuong Son... also actively cleaned houses, schools, and dredged sewers after the river water flooded in.

The specialized agency recommends that localities need to strengthen inspection and supervision of environmental sanitation work according to the motto "where the water recedes, clean up there". The collection, transportation and treatment of waste and animal carcasses must comply with regulations to avoid soil and water pollution, affecting public health.

At the same time, the work of storing and supplying clean water is also focused. Affected areas need to ensure safe water sources for daily life, and at the same time provide adequate chemicals and disinfectants to treat the environment after the flood.
