Advisory councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee deploy tasks for the 2024-2029 term

This afternoon, November 7, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province held a conference to summarize activities for the 2019-2024 term and to perfect the advisory councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for the 2024-2029 term. In the 2019-2024 term, the Socio-Economic Advisory Council participated in researching, advising and commenting on dozens of draft laws, projects and proposals on socio-economic development, focusing on the draft Land Law, the Law on Cooperatives (amended), socio-economic planning projects of the province, districts, towns and cities, environmental issues related to wind power projects, small hydropower, renewable energy, and at the same time, researched and participated in key socio-economic topics and programs implemented in the province such as the new rural program, sustainable poverty reduction with quality.

The Democracy and Law Advisory Council contributed opinions to 35 draft laws, codes, 21 projects, and legal documents of the central and local levels. In addition to proactively and actively participating in contributing written opinions to draft laws, codes, legal documents, programs, and projects for socio-economic development, the advisory council also participated in the review conferences chaired and coordinated by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Actively participated in 8 thematic supervision sessions organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on issues of law enforcement in the fields of land, compensation, support, resettlement, and settlement of complaints and denunciations at the grassroots level.

Through participating in monitoring activities, the advisory council members have researched and advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the monitoring delegations on issues in the implementation of land policies and laws, compensation, support, resettlement, site clearance, settlement of complaints and denunciations, and people's rights and interests when implementing projects for consideration and resolution by competent authorities.

The Ethnic and Religious Advisory Council actively participates in mobilizing religious organizations, dignitaries, and officials to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State, the Law on Religious Beliefs; actively participates in patriotic emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels as well as participates in the Council for evaluating new ideas and initiatives in the creative solidarity movement according to Project 15 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...

Regarding the tasks for the 2024-2029 term, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee promptly consolidates, improves and improves the quality and effectiveness of the activities of advisory councils to effectively perform the advisory and consulting functions to help the Standing Committee and professional boards of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in implementing the entire term program. Research, review, advise and propose to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to adjust, amend and supplement the operating regulations of the advisory councils of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in accordance with the actual situation, meeting the requirements and tasks.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung acknowledged and commended the advisory councils, especially the chair and vice chair, for actively and proactively participating effectively in social supervision and criticism activities with many quality and effective opinions, recommendations and proposals. In the coming time, the advisory council needs to do better in social supervision and criticism, and strengthen the application of information technology to perform well the assigned tasks, helping the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee handle and resolve work promptly and with quality.
