Colonel Nguyen The Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council (NVQS) chaired the conference.
The report at the conference showed that the military recruitment in 2026 has been carried out in accordance with regulations. The whole province has registered for military service for the first time for 26,831/27,084 citizens aged 17 and over, reaching 99.25%; managed 142,020 citizens of military service age, accounting for 4.3% of the population.
Up to now, 122/135 communes and wards have completed political and physical examination. The work of health screening, exemption and deferment has been strictly implemented. 15 military handover points and 19 health examination councils have been surveyed and fully prepared.
However, there are still some problems such as the overlap between the Law on Military Service and the Law on Residence; the management of citizens of military age is not really close; political and policy review at the grassroots level is still inadequate. These are problems that need to be overcome in the coming time.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen The Vinh emphasized: To complete the 2026 military recruitment target assigned by the Government, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security , sectors and localities must uphold the spirit of responsibility, coordinate synchronously, organize military recruitment work closely, objectively, fairly and legally.
The Provincial Military Command will proactively advise on the timely issuance of leadership and direction documents; strengthen political review and serious health examination; allocate appropriate quotas to ensure fairness among localities.
The Commander of the Provincial Military Command also requested agencies and units to coordinate closely in grasping resources, managing strength, reviewing politics, and preparing solemn and absolutely safe military handover ceremonies. At the same time, step up propaganda work and effectively implement military rear policies to create high consensus among all classes of people.
The conference unanimously resolved to carry out military recruitment well in 2026, ensuring sufficient quotas, compliance with the law, safety, and quality, contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern People's Army and People's Public Security.
