On the morning of June 16, nearly 5,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City took the 6th grade test at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School for the 2025-2026 school year.

This year's 6th grade assessment of Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School was held at 7 schools, including: Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, Nguyen Du Secondary School, Luong The Vinh High School, Trung Vuong High School, Ten Lo Man High School, Ban Co Secondary School and Doan Thi Diem Secondary School.

Mr. Bui Cong Son, Deputy Head of Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School Examination Site, said that this site has more than 700 candidates. This morning, the site recorded many cases of parents bringing their children to the wrong test site. "The test papers are officially distributed at 7:55, in case of 10-15 minutes delay, the invigilator will still let the candidates take the test," said Mr. Son.

Nguyen Ngoc Ha Anh (Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School) said that she had reviewed very carefully and was quite confident before entering the exam room. "I solved the questions at home and prepared well. I did not put too much pressure on myself," he said.

Similarly, candidate Phan Cong Toai (Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School) also did not put much pressure on this exam but considered it an experience. However, with serious investment, Toai is confident that he will complete the survey well.

For students who fail the entrance exam, they will still be considered for admission to grade 6 according to the regulations of the District Admissions Steering Committee.

After completing the survey, the survey board will work from June 17 to 21. Based on the survey results, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will conduct the selection process from high to low until the quota is met as announced by the school.

Parents and students who wish to appeal can submit their applications from June 23 to before 4:30 p.m. on June 25. The appeal results are expected to be announced on June 29.

Outside the Tran Dai Nghia Secondary School exam site, many parents were visibly worried and nervous. Many took the opportunity to call their relatives at home to inform them of the situation.
