The 3.2km Thuy Van road improvement project was started on October 28, on a land area of nearly 20 hectares, with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND. This is considered the largest public investment project for tourism development in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to date. Vung Tau City Project Management Board (representing the investor) said that to ensure progress, at peak times the contractor will mobilize nearly 1,000 workers, working in 2 shifts and divided into 13 construction areas. According to the plan proposed by the City People's Committee, the project will be constructed in 6 months and completed by the end of April 2025.
During the renovation period, the local government arranged 13 entrances to the sea so as not to hinder the swimming needs of residents and tourists.
The Thuy Van road renovation project is expected to change the appearance of Bai Sau after completion, creating an open space facing the sea with functional areas and utilities, turning Vung Tau city into a high-quality, international-class tourist center.
