The captain of the Vietnamese team was a special guest at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) on the morning of October 3. Mr. Kim Sang Sik was especially excited to witness a large-scale, professionally organized tournament exclusively for workers and civil servants.

After this event, Coach Kim Sang Sik flew to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the team gathering and two matches against Nepal in the Asian Cup qualifiers.

This morning, 16 teams from the Northern region competed to win 6 tickets to the National Finals taking place at the end of October in Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically, 4 teams that reached the semi-finals of the Northern qualifying round will have a ticket to the National Finals; 4 teams that stopped in the Quarter-finals will continue to play the play-off to choose 2 more "save tickets".

The total prize of the Vietnam Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025 in the Northern qualifying round is up to 170 million VND. Of which, the champion receives 60 million VND, the runner-up 40 million VND and the two third-place teams each receive 20 million VND.

The regional qualifiers also award many other prizes such as Best Player, Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Fairplay Team, Most Impressive Cheerleading Team, Best Referee Team (each prize is 5 million VND).
