Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Business Relations Center of the University of Finance and Marketing, said that this year the school has 6 admission methods. The school has just announced that it will accept applications for 5 early admission methods from April 22 (except for the method of considering high school graduation exam scores), including the minimum admission score.
Specifically, the method of considering the scores of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's aptitude test, the school accepts applications from 700/1,200 points. With method 3 of considering academic records, the score to receive applications is from 18. As for the method of considering the results of the V-SAT exam and the high school graduation exam, the school will announce in the near future.
However, Master Phung noted: "Candidates need to pay attention to distinguish between the admission floor score and the admission standard score. In which, the floor score is the minimum score to receive applications, based on the actual registration of candidates, the admission council of each school determines the admission standard score for each major. There are cases where the school announces the standard score equal to the floor score, but many majors in many schools have a higher standard score than the floor score. Candidates need to follow the specific information of each school to avoid confusion between these two score thresholds."
Master Truong Quang Tri, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, also said that in previous years, the benchmark scores of the school's majors were often equal to or 1-2 points higher than the floor score. Some majors had a benchmark score of 18 points, but others had 19-21 points. Particularly for health sciences majors, candidates need to pay attention to the floor score threshold according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Many new majors
Nguyen Tat Thanh University uses 4 admission methods this year. Of which, the method of considering high school graduation exam scores and direct admission is implemented according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Considering academic records and considering the scores of the competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University are the early admission methods. This year, the school has 5 new majors.

Among the 63 majors enrolled this year at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, there are 7 new majors. Similarly, Mr. Vo Ngoc Nhon, Deputy Director of the Admissions Consulting Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, also said that in the first round of admission based on academic records, the school announced the threshold score for admission (except for high school graduation requirements) for majors from 18-24 points. In particular, the health science majors the school is training include: pharmacy, nursing, medical testing technology... Currently, the school is in the stage of receiving applications for candidates to participate in the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, with the floor score from 670-750 points depending on the major.
Master Tran Van Trang, Deputy Head of Admissions at Saigon International University, also said that after the first round of applications ended on January 31, the school has announced the qualifying score (standard score) for some majors that is 1-1.5 points higher than the floor score. "This year, the school's standard score will be higher than previous years," Master Trang predicted.
