Long An International Port signed two friendship agreements with Portland Port and Gothenburg Port

Within the framework of the “Conference on connecting the supply chain of import-export goods and e-commerce in Tay Ninh province 2025”, Long An International Port signed two friendship agreements with Portland Port (USA) and Gothenburg Port (Sweden). This is an important step, affirming the efforts of international integration, while expanding the logistics network and maritime trade between Vietnam and the world's leading seaport centers.

The conference on connecting the supply chain of import-export goods and e-commerce in Tay Ninh province in 2025 was directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, co-organized by the Department of Foreign Market Development and the Department of Industry and Trade of Tay Ninh province with the participation of nearly 600 representatives of the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, departments, branches, associations, unions, and domestic and foreign enterprises.

The event was organized both directly and online to connect businesses in the province with foreign import businesses; promote export and trade development, connect trade, and expand markets between e-commerce businesses, logistics businesses, distribution systems, and domestic and foreign business associations.

Tay Ninh - New growth engine of the region

Located in the Southern Key Economic Zone, adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, bordering Cambodia, Tay Ninh has become a modern industrial, service and urban center; a bright spot in industrial development, high-tech agriculture, trade, tourism and an international trade gateway of the Southeast region, connecting production, consumption and logistics between the Mekong Delta and the Southeast , and at the same time an important international trade gateway of the region.

On behalf of Dongtam Group attending and speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Long An International Port Vo Quoc Huy introduced the comprehensive, synchronous and sustainable development ecosystem of the Long An International Port project cluster. Thereby, affirming the role and position of the Port through direct connection to the global supply chain, developing and providing comprehensive logistics solutions, contributing to optimizing costs by shortening delivery time, minimizing risks, enhancing competitiveness in the international market and bringing practical added value to businesses.

Two memorandums of understanding were signed, affirming the integration progress of Long An International Port.

Within the framework of the event, Long An International Port reached 2 agreements with Portland Port and Gothenburg Port. This represents a long-term cooperative relationship, aiming to become a strategic partner for the common goal of developing Port resource advantages, using friendly exchanges as a bridge for the parties to continue to negotiate other cooperation issues.

The Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a friendship port between Long An International Port and Portland Port aims to promote the advantages of port resources, based on corresponding support policies, encourage the expansion of maritime transport capacity and scale, increase the volume of goods passing through the port; share and introduce potential partners in the field of import-export and logistics services based on existing relationships.

Memorandum of Understanding was handed over between Long An International Port and Portland Port under the witness of leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Tay Ninh province.

Awarding the Friendship Port Agreement between Long An International Port and Gothenburg Port

The agreement between Long An International Port and Gothenburg Port aims to promote direct import and export activities, improve the efficiency of logistics services between the two ports in particular as well as between Vietnam, Sweden and the Nordic region in general.

On the same day, the delegation attending the Conference on connecting the supply chain of import-export goods and e-commerce in Tay Ninh province in 2025 visited and learned about Long An International Port. The delegates acknowledged and highly appreciated the scale of investment, the synchronous planning of the Project and the comprehensive logistics solutions for businesses, towards a green port and sustainable development.
