Accordingly, customers of this company received calls claiming to be Vietravel, Vietravel Khanh Hoa , Vietravel Airlines organizing these events to collect personal information, issue worthless vouchers, and then ask customers to deposit money or transfer money to personal accounts designated by the fake units.

"Their methods are quite sophisticated. They claim to be Vietravel, provide invitations, customer appreciation information, even fake airline tickets, and customers must bring their ID cards to these meetings. After that, these impersonators take their personal information," Ms. Van said.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , the impersonators offered very attractive incentives to customers. They announced gratitude programs, sending customers gifts such as 3-day, 2-night vacations in Vung Tau, Da Lat, Nha Trang, etc.
