Overseas Vietnamese player Chung Nguyen Do wants to play for the Vietnamese and Bulgarian national teams.

Early morning of July 30, player Chung Nguyen Do and his family arrived at Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ) after a nearly 1-day journey from Bulgaria. Today, he will travel to Ninh Binh to complete procedures to introduce himself to his new team and quickly prepare for V-League 2025 - 2026.

Sharing when returning home, Chung Nguyen Do said: "I am very happy to return to Vietnam to play for Ninh Binh Club. The team has given me an extremely attractive opportunity that makes me excited."

He continued: "I haven't watched many domestic clubs play, I've only watched the Vietnamese national team. In terms of feeling, I think the Vietnamese players all have a lot of potential. Anyway, I'm ready to play V-League, even though the weather here is very hot and it might take a few weeks to adapt."

Chung Nguyen Do was born in 2005, 1.75m tall. His Vietnamese name is Tran Thanh Trung. He is currently competing in the Bulgarian National Championship (top 30 Europe).

At the age of 20, Chung Nguyen Do started for Slavia Sofia and was selected for the Bulgaria U19 and U21 teams. He was mentioned by the country's media as one of the promising young talents.

"With dual nationality, I really want to play for the Vietnamese national team and Bulgaria. However, if I am chosen, I will decide later," Chung Nguyen Do shared briefly.

On the transfer information website Transfermarkt , Chung Nguyen Do is valued at 400,000 euros (equivalent to more than 12 billion VND). However, the actual amount that Ninh Binh Club spent to recruit this player is even larger.

That partly shows the prospects of Chung Nguyen Do as well as the expectation of making a difference of the ancient capital team before V-League 2025 - 2026.
