On the morning of October 2, the authorities coordinated with Tam Hiep A Primary School (Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai Province) to urgently trim and clean up the scene after a large acacia tree suddenly uprooted and fell in the school yard.

Previously, on the evening of October 1, during a heavy rainstorm accompanied by a strong storm, a 20-year-old rosewood tree was suddenly uprooted and fell onto the school yard. Fortunately, the incident occurred outside of school hours so no students or teachers were injured. However, the fallen tree damaged part of the school yard and the sports equipment area.

This morning, when students arrived at school, many were shocked to see a large tree lying across the school yard. Many other parents also expressed concern, saying that large trees in the school grounds need to be checked and trimmed regularly to ensure student safety.
A parent shared: “This morning when I took my child to school, I saw a tree uprooted, its roots sticking out of the ground. It was a really dangerous scene. If the incident had happened during recess, the consequences would have been unpredictable.”

A representative of the Tam Hiep Ward People's Committee said that immediately after receiving the information, the local authorities sent forces to inspect the scene and requested the school to make a specific report on the incident. At the same time, the authorities will coordinate with the school to trim and lower the height of the remaining trees in the yard to ensure the safety of students.
