Di An Ward has a natural area of nearly 21.4 km2 , the current population is 234,470 people. The entire Di An Ward Party Committee has 59 grassroots party organizations, including: 6 grassroots party committees, 8 grassroots party cells and 45 affiliated party cells with 3,497 party members.
Currently, the economic structure of Di An ward is strongly developing in the direction of industry-trade-service-agriculture; the whole ward has 4 industrial parks, 1 industrial cluster with a total area of nearly 555 hectares; the ward attracts 5,145 enterprises, 11,799 business households, 10 cooperatives in operation.
The ward's socio-cultural field continues to change positively; the grassroots health care system develops synchronously; cultural and sports institutions in the ward are focused on investment. The political security situation and social order and safety in the area are maintained stable...

At the working session, Secretary of the Party Committee of Di An Ward Vo Van Hong said that with a population of more than 234,000 people and a huge workload, the ward recommended that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City base on the actual characteristics to allocate appropriate staff to enhance leadership and direction capacity and meet increasingly high work requirements.
Recommend that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee soon issue a Decision authorizing the Ward People's Committee to decide on investment in Group B and C projects to ensure the progress of implementation and disbursement of public investment capital in 2025; recommend allocating the budget for investment in schools, equipment and supplementing the teacher payroll to gradually expand and complete the goal of educational innovation...
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, said that Di An ward has the second largest population in the country, proving that the locality has favorable living conditions and is a livable locality; at the same time, he highly appreciated the ward's efforts in serving and meeting the legitimate demands of the people in recent times.

Sharing the pressure on population size, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang also reminded the locality to gradually come up with ideas, focus on investing in infrastructure to anticipate development; proactively coordinate and proactively adapt; at the same time, he requested the Party Committee's Organizing Committee to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs to arrange staff for this populous ward reasonably, and encourage sharing of the legitimate demands of the grassroots.
