Every time he looks at the photo taken at his 3rd birthday party, Nguyen Gia Hung (30 years old, from Binh Dinh) can't help but smile happily. He always feels like he's dreaming, lost in a fairy tale.

That photo captured the moment he secretly kissed his girlfriend on the cheek. Miraculously, that little girl became his wife.

In the past, Hung's parents worked at the same company as Dao Nguyen Doan Duyen's parents (now 30 years old, from Binh Dinh). On Hung's 3rd birthday, Duyen's parents brought their daughter to join in the fun.

That day, Mr. Hung wore a blue ao dai and a crown. He was very impressed when he saw his friend of the same age wearing a yellow ao dai and red lipstick.

“The adults saw Duyen and I wearing cute ao dai so they called us over to take a photo together. While standing close, I secretly kissed Duyen on the cheek. Because of that kiss, Duyen scratched my face,” Hung shared with a laugh.

After that, Mr. Hung did not have the chance to meet Ms. Duyen again. He only knew about his lovely friend through his parents.

In 9th grade, he met Duyen by chance at a wedding. He walked up and was about to talk to her when she walked away. At that moment, he realized he had a secret crush on her.

That same year, Hung left home to study in Hue . He tried to make friends with Duyen on social networks but failed.

In 2017, Mr. Hung moved to Ho Chi Minh City to start a business. One day, he met the girl of his dreams again. Although he really wanted to approach and talk to her, he was shy and watched from afar.

After that, he decided to find a way to contact Ms. Duyen. Luckily, he found her Facebook thanks to a mutual friend.

After becoming friends, he texted her and sent her a photo of them together when they were 3 years old. She was surprised and remembered her childhood memories.

Since then, they often confided in each other and helped each other in work. However, he did not express his feelings but chose to stay by her side as a fellow countryman.

He wore a green ao dai and a crown, while she wore a yellow ao dai, exactly like the souvenir photo. Under the flower gate, he gently placed a kiss on his wife's cheek. This time, she did not scratch his face but smiled happily.

On Christmas 2020, the two officially got married. A year later, they had a new member. It was their first daughter, a cute and adorable baby girl.

Just as her happiness continued, Ms. Duyen discovered that she had hyperthyroidism. This disease is not too dangerous for many people. However, she was allergic to all the special drugs, so treatment was difficult.

During the treatment of hyperthyroidism, she was repeatedly hospitalized with difficulty breathing, rash, limp limbs, etc.

The illness caused her to change her temperament, often getting angry. Sometimes, she scolded her husband for no reason. However, Mr. Hung did not let that bother him. He chose to avoid her, wait for her anger to subside, then comfort her.

“It is inevitable that there will be times when a husband and wife have conflicts of opinion. However, when faced with such a situation, I always choose to give in and sympathize with each other. I will not do anything my wife does not like,” Mr. Hung confided.

To earn money to take care of his wife and children, he works hard every day until midnight. Although tired and sleep-deprived, he always smiles when he is with his wife. He believes that his optimism will transmit positive energy to her.

Currently, Ms. Duyen's health is recovering steadily. The family has returned to peaceful and warm days.
