Aspirations from the trips

Mr. Nguyen Van Chung shared that the idea of Ban May Farm arose from his field trips to famous tourist destinations such as Da Lat, Sa Pa, and Moc Chau. "As a son of Tam Dao, I realized that this place lacked a spacious experience space for tourists, instead of just having the usual resort services. When traveling to many places, I found the agricultural models combined with tourism very interesting and attractive, so I wanted to bring them back to my hometown to do."

With that determination, Mr. Chung started building Ban May Farm at the end of 2024. In just half a year, the model was completed and put into operation. After more than two months, the farm has become an attractive destination, attracting tourists to visit and explore . Especially on weekends and holidays, Ban May Farm can welcome from 700 to 1,000 visitors per day.

One of the most special highlights of the farm is the Sheep Farm. This is where visitors can immerse themselves in the green space, watch and interact with sheep - an experience never before seen in Tam Dao. Le Nha Uyen, a young tourist from Bac Giang, happily recounted: "Here, I got to experience grass sliding, playing with rabbits and archery. I like playing with the sheep the most, they are so cute. I hope to come here many more times."

Overcoming difficulties and spreading passion

Nguyen Van Chung's entrepreneurial journey was not easy. The biggest difficulties were the complex mountainous terrain, erratic climate and labor shortage. "Transporting plants and livestock was very difficult, and the unpredictable weather affected the care of plants and livestock. There were times when livestock were lost due to harsh weather. However, I always tried," Chung confided.

Mr. Duong Van Thang, a tourist from Bac Giang, said: "Today, my wife and children, along with some colleagues' families, went to experience Tam Dao tourist area. Coming to Ban May Farm, we experienced many services and games. My children, who had never been in contact with these animals before, were very excited. I really hope that every year, in the summer, I will have the opportunity to bring my family and friends here to experience it."

With a long-term vision, Nguyen Van Chung wishes to continue expanding the scale, bringing new crops such as strawberries to Tam Dao to diversify the experience for tourists. From the Ban May Farm model, he has not only built his own career but also contributed to promoting the image of Tam Dao closer to tourists from all over the world.

San Diu young man Nguyen Van Chung has shown that with creativity, daring to think and do and love for the homeland, seemingly simple ideas can become a strong driving force, creating sustainable values for the community and homeland.
