Chairman Dang Sy Manh met with outstanding train captains

Today, at the headquarters of Vietnam Railways Corporation, Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors Dang Sy Manh had a meeting and dialogue with 40 outstanding Train Chiefs, representing more than 350 Train Chiefs in the entire industry.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman Dang Sy Manh said that today's meeting and dialogue is a two-way affair. This is an opportunity for employees working directly at the site to express their wishes to the leaders, and also an opportunity for the leaders to listen and understand the thoughts of their subordinates. It is a sharing between colleagues, people with the same passion, concerns and a common goal of how to further develop the Vietnam Railways.

Vietnam Railways has gone through many ups and downs, there were times when difficulties piled on top of difficulties like during the Covid pandemic a few years ago. Despite the difficulties and hardships, the entire staff of the industry united and struggled to overcome them and once again affirmed the role and mission of the railway industry with relief trains to take people out of the epidemic area, free cargo trains to support the front line against the epidemic...

In particular, in 2023, after a period of overcoming difficulties, the railway industry has begun to make a profit. Although the number is still modest, it has a very significant value, showing that the railway industry has taken the right direction and is beginning to revive. On that momentum, in 2024, Vietnam Railways continuously launched better service products such as Heritage Train, Da Lat Night Train, High-quality Train SE21/22 or organized cultural activities at major stations such as painting exhibitions, Thanh Xuan Fashion Show... All of which left a strong impression on the change of the railway industry for the whole society.

The Flight Attendants are an important link in the operation chain of the entire railway system. Because the flight attendants on the trains are the ones who directly meet and contact passengers, they are the messengers who bring the beautiful image of the railway industry closer to customers. Therefore, the Chairman called on the Train Captains and flight attendants working on the trains to boldly give advice to help the Vietnam Railways train go faster and further...

In addition to the high appreciation for the contributions of the flight attendants and train service staff, Chairman Dang Sy Manh also set out important tasks that need to be addressed in the future. That is to safely and effectively exploit the existing railway line, creating a solid foundation for the future, to be able to manage and operate the high-speed railway line well.

During the meeting, Vietnam Railways Corporation received 242 petitions, divided into 18 groups of issues. Some petitions were answered directly by the Chairman at the meeting, the remaining petitions were assigned specific tasks to the executive board and professional staff to resolve as soon as possible, ensuring that 100% of petitions were satisfactorily answered.
