Chairman of the Russian State Duma successfully concluded his official visit to Vietnam

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin affirmed that he personally and the State Duma of the Russian Parliament always support promoting all-round cooperation with Vietnam.

On the afternoon of September 29, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin led a high-ranking delegation of the Russian Federation to leave Hanoi , successfully concluding an official visit to Vietnam and co-chairing the 4th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the State Duma of the Russian Federation from September 28-29, at the invitation of Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.

During his official visit to Vietnam, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and laid flowers at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi.

General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong received Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin. Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man welcomed and held talks with Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin. The leaders of the two countries' parliaments co-chaired the fourth session of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Russian State Duma.

During the meetings, conferences and talks, the Vietnamese leaders affirmed that the visit was a vivid demonstration of the will and determination to further promote the traditional friendship and the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and emphasized that the official visit to Vietnam by the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament this time is one of the important foreign affairs activities, contributing to further consolidating the close, trustworthy and effective relationship between the two countries in general and enhancing cooperation on the parliamentary channel in particular, especially in the year the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The Vietnamese leader also emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with the Russian Federation; expressed his delight at the positive developments in the relationship between the two countries in all fields over the past year; proposed that the State Duma of the Russian Parliament strengthen cooperation and coordination with the Vietnamese National Assembly, especially sharing experiences in implementing the "Smart Parliament" initiative, perfecting the legal basis, supporting and assisting agencies and organizations of the two countries to remove difficulties and obstacles, promoting cooperation in all fields, especially in economics, trade, investment, energy, science and technology, education and training, culture and people-to-people exchange, etc.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin thanked the Vietnamese leaders and people for their warm and thoughtful welcome to him and his delegation, congratulated Vietnam on achieving impressive socio-economic development results, and wished Vietnam would successfully implement the tasks set by the Communist Party of Vietnam to ensure a prosperous and well-off life for the people. Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin affirmed that he personally and the State Duma of the Russian Parliament always support promoting all-round cooperation with Vietnam, and is ready, together with the Vietnamese National Assembly, to support the two countries in continuously expanding new mechanisms and directions of cooperation.

At the 4th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, which took place at the National Assembly House (Hanoi), co-chaired by Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, the two sides affirmed that the organization of meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee on an annual rotational basis demonstrates the determination of the legislative bodies of the two countries to consolidate, promote and deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to adopt a Joint Communique on the results of the fourth meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, thereby clearly defining the direction of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries in the coming time, in accordance with the nature of bilateral relations and the needs of both sides in the new context.

During the visit, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament visited the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center and the Vietnam Military History Museum./.
