Mr. Ho Quoc Dung was unanimously nominated to be elected as Deputy Prime Minister.

(Dan Tri) - The Politburo agreed to let Mr. Ho Quoc Dung resign from the position of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary so that the Central Committee can nominate him for the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

On October 3, at the Provincial Conference Center, the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, officially opened its session.

At the congress, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo 's decision on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Politburo agreed to allow Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, to cease participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and to cease holding the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and related positions, so that the Central Committee can carry out the process of introducing and electing him to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung (59 years old), hometown is Cat Tai commune, Phu Cat district, old Binh Dinh province (now De Gi commune, Gia Lai province). He has a degree in Advanced Political Theory, Master of Law.

Currently, he is a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung was the Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province; Deputy of the 12th National Assembly of Vietnam belonging to the delegation of the former Binh Dinh province.

On June 30, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung held the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term.
