On the afternoon of October 18, Hungarian National Assembly Chairman Kover Laszlo and his delegation came to offer flowers, visit the stupa, and pay tribute to Hungarian scholar Sandor Korosi Csoma.

Welcoming the delegation were Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Tran Van Tuan, leaders of several departments, branches and local government leaders.

Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Kover Laszlo and his delegation offered flowers to pay tribute to Hungarian scholar Sandor Korosi Csoma.

Mr. Kover Laszlo expressed his appreciation to the leaders and people of Ho Chi Minh City in preserving and promoting the values ​​of the Hungarian-style construction in Vung Tau ward.

The organizing committee informed that the stupa is located on Phan Chu Trinh street, Vung Tau ward.

This work was built to commemorate Hungarian scholar Sandor Korosi Csoma (1784 - 1842). He made many contributions to human culture. The stupa is considered a symbol of friendship between Vietnam and Hungary.

According to VNA, in the early morning of October 18, Hungarian National Assembly Chairman Kover Laszlo arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, beginning an official visit to Vietnam from October 18 to 22, at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man .

Accompanying the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Kover Laszlo on his official visit to Vietnam were Mr. Baloghdi Tibor - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Vietnam; Mr. Sárdi Péter - Foreign Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament; Mr. Kovács Krisztián - Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Hungarian Parliament Office; Mr. Szilágyi Zoltán - Director of the Press Department of the Hungarian Parliament; Mr. Tóbiás Gábor - Deputy Ambassador of Hungary to Vietnam.

Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Kover Laszlo was born in 1959 in Pápa, Hungary. He has a master's degree in law and political science from the Hungarian State University (ELTE).

Mr. Kover Laszlo has held the following positions: founder of the FIDESZ Party, now the ruling party (1988); Vice President of the FIDESZ Party (1993); President of the FIDESZ Party (2000 - 2001); Chairman of the National Security Committee of the National Assembly (2002 - 2006).

Since 2010, Mr. Kover Laszlo has been the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament (re-elected in 2014, 2018 and 2022).
