Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung worked with 5 communes and wards on preparations for the Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030

On August 6, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung chaired a working session with the Party Committees of the communes and wards: Tinh Bien, Thoi Son, Chi Lang, An Cu and Nui Cam on preparations for the Party Congresses of communes and wards for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung spoke at the working session.

At the working session, the Party Secretaries of 5 communes and wards reported on the progress of congress preparations, including: Congress personnel preparation; political report writing; and review report on the leadership and direction of the Commune Party Executive Committee.

Provincial departments and specialized agencies assisting the Provincial Party Committee have focused on contributing opinions to wards and communes on the topics, structure, layout, and content of the political report to the congress, and indicators on economic , cultural, social development, Party building, national defense and security, etc.

Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, Ho Thanh Binh, commented on the political reports of communes and wards.

Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of An Giang province, Le Quoc Cuong, requested localities to study and supplement solutions on digital transformation, digital economy, and building digital government in the next term.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the Party Committees of communes and wards in preparing for the congress in the context of having just operated a 2-level local government. The communes and wards have fully prepared the contents from document drafting to personnel work. At the same time, he welcomed the departments and branches that actively contributed comments to the congress documents of 5 communes and wards.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committees of 5 communes and wards to seriously and reasonably absorb the comments of the departments, branches, and working groups assisting the Provincial Party Committee to supplement the political report.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "The time for the congress is very close, so all preparations must be extremely urgent. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committees of communes and wards to fully prepare a system of documents to submit to the congress, including political reports, review reports, draft resolutions and action programs that must demonstrate the spirit of "6 clear"...".

Communes and wards prepare well the material facilities for the congress, without showing off or wasting time so that this is truly a great festival for the entire Party; promote propaganda to each cadre, party member and people through many visual forms, and organize flag-hanging announcements during the congress days.

Regarding the political report, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested that communes and wards must properly implement the layout and structure according to the guidance documents of the Provincial Party Committee. Localities need to clarify the potentials, advantages, space, and development orientation of each commune and ward. The targets of the term resolution must ensure feasibility, suitability with the local situation and the development orientation goals of the province in the coming term.

Regarding socio-economic development, based on the orientation of the old An Giang province and the upcoming planning of the new An Giang province, the communes and wards propose development directions for the next 5 years in the direction of: Striving to reduce the proportion of agriculture in the economic structure, increasing the internal value of agriculture, strengthening the development of construction industry, trade - services; promoting advantages in tourism, local culture and history; focusing on developing products with competitive export advantages; focusing on national defense - security.
