Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected and directed the overcoming of natural disaster consequences in northern communes.

On the morning of October 3, comrade Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of the Departments of Construction, Agriculture and Environment directly inspected and directed the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in a number of communes in the northern region of the province.

On the DT.253B route, passing through Vinh Thong commune, at Km20+800, a landslide occurred, causing traffic to be cut off. At the slope landslide location, the volume of soil and rock that needs to be transported is still very large (estimated at 16,000m³), but it is expected that the route can be opened before October 7. The Maintenance Management and Construction Consulting Board has deployed a plan to divert and regulate traffic. However, this is a complex landslide location, with underground water and a large slide, posing a potential safety risk, while human resources and equipment must be allocated to many other locations.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son requested relevant departments and branches to provide maximum support in terms of finance, human resources, and materials; promptly clear the route, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles. At the same time, mobilize more machinery and vehicles, closely coordinate with functional forces in traffic diversion and guidance, promptly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and stabilize people's lives.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation visited and encouraged the people of Lung Xien village, Vinh Thong commune.

Next, comrade Pham Hoang Son visited 20 households in Lung Xien hamlet, Vinh Thong commune, which are still flooded and isolated due to the impact of storm No. 10. Here, he kindly asked about their difficulties and directly supported each household with 1 million VND.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested functional agencies to coordinate with localities to promptly provide food and necessities, not to let any households suffer from hunger or cold; at the same time, mobilize forces, immediately after the flood recedes, to quickly rebuild houses, restore production and life for the people.
