Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee visits and presents gifts to wounded soldiers and meritorious people

On the afternoon of July 23, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers and meritorious people on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

The delegation visited Mrs. Pham Thi Chinh (born in 1929, residing in Cho Lon ward), a pre-uprising cadre who worked in the health sector in Loc Ninh. Before retiring, she was the Principal of the Childcare School under the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for the Protection of Mothers and Children. She is a 75-year Party member.

During the visit, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee kindly asked about Ms. Chinh's health and life; wished her and her family good health, continued to promote revolutionary traditions, educated children and grandchildren to follow their example, and contributed to building Ho Chi Minh City into an increasingly civilized, modern, and humane city.

Next, the delegation visited Mr. Tran Thang Phuc (born in 1928, residing in Cho Lon ward), a veteran revolutionary cadre, 3/4-class disabled veteran. Mr. Phuc joined the revolution in 1951, was the Captain of the Military Automobile Company supporting the battlefield, the Battalion Commander commanding the Military Transport Battalion and artillery pulling battalion serving the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. He is a 75-year Party member.

Mr. Tran Thang Phuc emotionally held the hand of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and expressed his thanks to the delegation.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude for Mr. Tran Thang Phuc's great contributions to the cause of national liberation, wishing him and his family a happy and healthy life, continuing to be a shining example, passing on the revolutionary flame to future generations. Mr. Phuc was moved to send his thanks to the city leaders for their concern and visit to his family.

The delegation also visited Mr. Pham Quoc An (born in 1949, residing in An Dong ward), a 1/4 class disabled veteran, a resistance activist infected with toxic chemicals. Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc kindly visited and wished Mr. An and his family good health and happiness. Mr. Pham Quoc An thanked the attention of the Ho Chi Minh City leaders, considering this a great source of spiritual encouragement.

Finally, the delegation visited Mr. Dang Khac Thanh (born in 1951, residing in Cho Quan ward), a 2/3 class disabled soldier. Before 1975, he was a border guard in Thanh Hoa province, and retired in 1989 under the disabled soldier regime. Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc wished Mr. Thanh good health and continued to inspire the younger generation to join hands in building Ho Chi Minh City and the country to become more and more prosperous.
