After listening to the report of the leaders of the Management Board of Song Thanh National Park, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, Le Tri Thanh, on behalf of the leaders of Quang Nam province, acknowledged and commended the efforts of the collective unit in performing its tasks, especially in forest protection and biodiversity restoration.

Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Tri Thanh requested the officers and staff of the Song Thanh National Park Management Board to promote their achievements and strive to overcome difficulties to successfully complete their assigned tasks. In particular, it is necessary to focus on strengthening forest protection patrols and continuing the work of forest tree and biodiversity restoration.

"The forest protection patrol work has been done well in the past time, but we absolutely must not be subjective, this must be considered an important task. On that basis, we should strengthen coordination to propagate and raise people's awareness about forest protection and avoid forest encroachment" - Comrade Le Tri Thanh noted.

In addition, comrade Le Tri Thanh requested the unit to intensify the search and fight against illegal hunting of wild animals. Promote experience in cooperation with international organizations to seek technical and financial support for forest management and protection.

Comrade Le Tri Thanh received the recommendations of the unit leaders and requested the leaders of the Song Thanh National Park Management Board to pay attention to, train and foster the staff in professional and political skills to build a long-term staff source; organize learning experiences at the units to improve the experience and working skills of the staff...

Song Thanh National Park has a total natural area of ​​76,593 hectares. As of October 25, 2024, the Management Board has signed labor contracts with more than 200 specialized forest protection contracts. Since the beginning of the year, forest protection management stations and mobile forest protection teams have deployed 369 forest patrols and inspections, thereby detecting and removing 2,539 traps of all kinds, destroying 92 camps and expelling 93 people who illegally entered the forest...
