Consensus – the driving force for development

In the flow of historical development, every step forward of Da Nang is built from the consensus of the entire Party and people.

The 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, determined that the strength of the great national unity bloc is the foundation for successfully implementing the Resolution, turning the city into the growth nucleus of the Central - Central Highlands region.

Social consensus fulcrum

Over the past time, the system of Fronts and mass organizations has constantly innovated its methods of operation, promoting its core political role in propaganda, mobilization and creating social consensus. The movements "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Day for the poor" ... have become the glue that binds the community, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party and the government. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Front was the "fulcrum" to mobilize hundreds of billions of VND and tens of thousands of tons of goods to support people.

According to comrade Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, without consensus, no policy can be implemented. Experience from practice shows that when people trust and support, all difficulties can be overcome. The role of the Front and mass organizations is extremely important, because they are the bridge to bring the resolution closer to the people, arousing the spirit of "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit". Only then can we build a sustainable and inclusive Da Nang, where all people have the opportunity to enjoy the results.

Social consensus can only be formed when the Party is truly closely attached to the people.

Comrade Doan Duy Tan, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, emphasized that to strengthen the solidarity of the people, we must first build a clean and strong Party organization. “We must innovate leadership methods, increase dialogue, listen and promptly resolve people's recommendations. Party members and officials must be exemplary in words and actions, so that people trust and accompany us. When people see the government as transparent and approachable, consensus will come naturally and become strength,” said Comrade Doan Duy Tan.

According to comrade Doan Duy Tan, experience over the years has shown that wherever cadres are closely involved with the grassroots, models and movements will develop strongly. Therefore, in the coming term, the City Party Committee will pay special attention to cadre work, considering it the key to building trust - the fundamental factor of consensus.

Together to overcome difficulties

The reality in the Tay Giang highlands has proven that, when the spirit of solidarity between the government and the people becomes the driving force to overcome difficulties.

Comrade Bhling Mia, Party Secretary, Chairman of Tay Giang Commune People's Council, said that in recent years, thanks to the city's attention and the people's consensus, Tay Giang has had many changes. 100% of villages have concrete roads, electricity grid, schools, and medical stations. Festivals and traditional occupations of the Co Tu people are not only preserved but also associated with community tourism. People's lives have gradually improved, the rate of poor households has decreased significantly. The important thing is that people no longer have a dependent mentality, but proactively participate, discuss, and contribute to the development of their homeland.

Comrade Bhling Mia emphasized that it is the spirit of “people discuss, people do” that has helped Tay Giang overcome difficulties. When the government and people are of one mind, all target programs become practical, not just slogans.

Da Nang in the new period is facing many challenges: restructuring the space after the merger, digital transformation, green development, international integration... These tasks require the consensus of the entire political system and people.

As the congress documents identify, the strength of solidarity must be realized through specific models: youth start-ups, volunteering for the community; innovative businesses, green development associated with the city; people directly participating in Party and government building.

Consensus is therefore not only a consensus in ideology, but also a concrete action of each citizen and each organization. And it is this consensus that will add strength to Da Nang to successfully achieve its goal: to become a major economic and social center of the Central region, a modern, civilized, and humane city.
