On August 19 and 20, Venerable Thich Minh Phuoc, abbot of Lien Hoa Pagoda, visited Son La and Dien Bien provinces to visit and share the difficulties of people who suffered heavy losses due to natural disasters in recent days.
Along with kind greetings and sharing hardships, Lien Hoa Pagoda gave 1,000 gifts to poor households in these two localities, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
The total cost of the charity trip was more than 500 million VND, which was mobilized by Venerable Thich Minh Phuoc from philanthropists and Buddhists near and far in the spirit of "helping each other".
The delegation went to remote communes of Dien Bien province such as Tia Dinh, Xa Dung, and Na Son to personally give warm and meaningful gifts to people affected by floods and landslides.
