Young girl lives a "nomadic" life in more than 40 provinces and cities across Vietnam

Having lived in many provinces and cities across Vietnam, the 9x female tourist fell in love with Da Lat because this city is so poetic.

Diem Quynh (27 years old, Thai Binh ) makes many people admire her for having lived in 43/63 provinces and cities in Vietnam. The life of constant travel helps the young girl have many interesting experiences and endless inspiration for her content creation work.

Explaining her lifestyle, Quynh shared: “I consider myself a person who loves to travel, likes to explore and constantly change environments to increase creativity. Creativity requires materials and inspiration. And those things come from real life experiences, I cannot just sit in one place and imagine it.”

Quynh's lifestyle is called digital nomadism, a lifestyle of people who are not tied to office work, just need a laptop and internet to be able to work online anywhere.

Vietnam is considered one of the favorite destinations of the digital nomad community. According to data analysis of remote workers around the world, experts at Nomad List recently announced the 10 locations with the fastest growth in the number of digital nomads in 2023. Da Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 2nd, 7th and 9th respectively on this list.

The young girl said she once traveled across Vietnam from North to South, both traveling and experiencing life for about one to two months in many places such as Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Da Nang, Can Tho... Among them, the place she lived the longest was Ho Chi Minh City, about a year.

However, by the end of 2024, Quynh decided to leave the bustling city to find peace and improve her health. Since then, Quynh has been attached to Da Lat. The city of thousands of flowers left a strong impression on her.

“Before arriving in Da Lat, I was overwhelmed by the tourist media information about this land. For me, wild, remote, undeveloped places will attract more curiosity to explore.

In 2023, I went to Da Lat because my family wanted to travel there. It turned out that this place was not as unpleasant as I thought, the climate was cool, the scenery was beautiful. That's why, at the end of 2024, I decided to leave Ho Chi Minh City to live here. Currently, I have been in Da Lat for 5 months," Diem Quynh shared.

Da Lat is known as the city of thousands of flowers, the city of love and romance. In addition to the pleasant climate, the poetic and peaceful scenery and friendly, lovable people are always the attractions that attract many people to come and stay in Da Lat.

Regarding the difficulties of a nomadic life, Quynh affirmed: “There are almost no difficulties for me on this journey. Because for me, everything is simply an experience. Experience the joy, experience the difficulties, experience the novelty of a new land.”

She learned to find solutions to problems that arose and quickly adapted to the new environment. “If I had to say what I dread the most, it would probably be having to move my belongings from one province to another. I am a girl and my health is not as good as that of my male friends, so every time I move house, it is quite tiring for me.”

To prepare for a life of constant travel, the female traveler minimizes everything possible, from clothes to furniture and personal items. Regarding health, Diem Quynh regularly exercises, cycles, and jogs to cope with the constant traveling alone and changing places of residence.

Due to the flexible nature of the job, not depending on a fixed location or office, Quynh still ensures enough income to cover her living expenses and many of her hobbies.

According to the 9x girl, young people who want to experience a nomadic life should have good health and a strong, stable spirit: “This life can make people feel uncertain about the path they are taking. Not to mention a sudden decline in health or finances will also cause a lot of anxiety. At this time, a good spirit is needed to lift yourself up and strengthen your confidence.”

In addition, Quynh advises young people to try to find flexible jobs that are not dependent on a fixed location, and to find ways to diversify their income sources so as not to be dependent on any one source of money. That will greatly help their passion for traveling and exploring.

“The life I have chosen is not for everyone. I think it is suitable for adventurous souls, those who love to explore, who do not like to be tied down, and who are not afraid of change. Everyone should consider and listen to their hearts carefully before making a decision,” Quynh affirmed.

Quynh said her family was so used to their daughter being "here today, gone tomorrow" that they didn't object or complain too much.

In the coming time, the female tourist will experience life on the island for about one to two months: "I really like the sea, I have cherished the plan to live on Phu Quy island for a long time. This year I hope to fulfill this wish."
