Ha Nam police informed about the case of a tractor trailer hitting and killing a traffic police major.

The provincial police said that at noon on June 14, a working group from the Traffic Police Department of Ha Nam Provincial Police, including Major Luong Thanh Tuan, was on patrol and traffic control duty at Km 122+700 National Highway 21A (in Thanh Ha commune, Thanh Liem district).

Major Tuan was hit by a tractor trailer with license plate 89C-279.74 and semi-trailer 89R - 018.54 driven by Tran Van Luyen (born in 1980, residing in Tan Hung commune, Hung Yen city, Hung Yen province).

After the strong collision, Major Luong Thanh Tuan was seriously injured and taken to the emergency room, then died at Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital.

At the scene, the car was smashed in the rear and lying across the roadside. The tractor trailer had minor damage to the front.

The police investigation agency is consolidating the case file for processing.
