Lao Cai police braved the rain all night to rescue people in flooded areas

Due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi), from the afternoon to the night of September 29, many localities in the province experienced landslides and flooding, causing local traffic jams, isolating hundreds of households. In this situation, Lao Cai Provincial Police mobilized forces and vehicles to rescue, protect people's lives and property.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Tuan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, directly commanded the rescue work in deeply flooded wards in the center of Lao Cai province.

On the night of September 29, in the center of Lao Cai province, hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police, Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police, and Mobile Police coordinated with the police of the wards to deploy specialized vehicles to support the evacuation of people from deeply flooded areas.

Hundreds of people were evacuated overnight, including the elderly, children and pregnant women.

The focus is on Yen Bai , Au Lau and Nam Cuong wards, where many residential areas are heavily flooded and potentially dangerous. After a night of effort, by the early morning of September 30, the rescue team had brought hundreds of people and many properties to safety.

Currently, the work of evacuating people and property to safety is still being actively deployed by forces.

In the highland districts, the communal police force, with the motto "4 on-the-spot", has mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Party Committee and the government to support the people in evacuating, giving priority to the elderly, children and women out of the flooded areas. At the same time, they organized 24/7 on-duty at key points, clearing rocks, soil and fallen trees on the roads.

Currently, the flood situation in Lao Cai is still complicated. The provincial police continue to be on duty, 100% of the force is on duty, coordinating with local authorities and forces to overcome the consequences, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
