Ho Chi Minh City Police received more than 2,700 applications for criminal records

(Dan Tri) - From March 1st to now, Ho Chi Minh City Police have received 2,777 criminal record certificate applications and returned results to nearly 500 cases in Ho Chi Minh City. The processing process ensures proper and smooth implementation.

On the morning of March 7, Ho Chi Minh City Police informed about the process of receiving and processing applications for criminal records for people after receiving the task from the Department of Justice.

Accordingly, strictly implementing the Party and State's policies and the drastic and close direction of the Ministry of Public Security's leadership in restructuring the apparatus and taking on a number of new tasks, including the task of organizing the reception and operation of State management work on judicial records, Ho Chi Minh City Police has actively, proactively and urgently selected officers and soldiers to participate in training at specialized agencies.

On February 27, Ho Chi Minh City Police Department took over the task of State management of Judicial Records and provided public services of issuing Judicial Records from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice, receiving 1,200 certificates and more than 1.4 million files that the Department of Justice had processed to continue serving the people.

Ho Chi Minh City Police have arranged a public reception office at 258 Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward, District 1, with full equipment, information technology infrastructure, and reception procedures to ensure readiness for operation from March 1.

From March 1 to March 6, Ho Chi Minh City Police received 2,777 files (609 direct files, 2,131 files via VNeID, 37 files via the public service portal) and returned 497 files to city residents. The process of receiving and processing ensured proper procedures, smoothness, and convenience for the people.

Currently, the VNeID application has maximized its effectiveness, bringing many benefits. Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department encourages people to actively participate in performing administrative procedures on the VNeID application, including the section "Issuing a criminal record certificate".

"VNeID has already integrated the citizen's documents. Therefore, when people register, they will not have to enter additional necessary documents, which is very convenient for the people," a Ho Chi Minh City Police officer shared and added that to register, the citizen's VNeID must be at level 2 identification. Therefore, if anyone has not completed it, they can go to the local police to upgrade to this level.

When declaring the profile components, people need to note: The information fields must be complete and accurate according to the identity documents; in case of declaring on behalf of others, there must be a power of attorney and certification from the competent authority; the images of the profile components provided must be sufficient as required, clear and must be taken right away, at right angles, without redundant images.

After completing the procedure, you must carefully check and compare the declared information with your identification documents before completing the operation. Online procedures require people to have an online bank account for payment.

"When paying, people do not need to worry about being scammed or losing money. Based on online payment, there are invoices and bank receipts, so there is no need to worry. In case of error, the money will be refunded," the officer explained further.

In the case of the elderly, children and foreigners, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has directed the Professional Records Department to coordinate with the City Police Youth Union to advise and build a youth project to regularly send officers and union members to be present 24/7 at the headquarters to support people in declaring and submitting documents directly.
