Thiet Ong Commune Police bring legal knowledge to the people

Thiet Ong Commune Police launched a campaign to guide and resolve administrative procedures in the process of implementing a two-level local government.

The newly established Thiet Ong commune was based on the arrangement of two commune-level administrative units, including Thiet Ke commune and Thiet Ong commune, with a natural area of 94.32 km2, with 13,227 people, mainly Thai, Muong and Kinh ethnic groups living together. Immediately after its establishment, the Thiet Ong commune police quickly stabilized the organization, rearranged personnel and assigned tasks to each commander, officer and soldier in the working groups. Based on the assigned tasks, the unit's officers and soldiers immediately deployed measures to grasp the local situation, promptly deployed professional measures to avoid interruptions or disruptions. At the same time, they focused on directing and guiding villages and neighborhoods to effectively implement self-management models of security and order (SOT) groups, thoroughly resolving incidents at the grassroots level, not allowing them to become "hot spots" of SOT after the establishment of the new commune.

Captain Ha Xuan Luyen, Chief of Thiet Ong Commune Police, said: Determining that propaganda and legal dissemination for local people is an important measure to raise awareness of law compliance, prevent and combat all types of crimes, law violations and social evils right from the grassroots level, the Commune Police have coordinated with agencies, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and local political organizations to innovate and diversify forms of propaganda and legal dissemination for cadres, party members and people. To proactively ensure good security and order, Thiet Ong Commune Police have focused on reviewing and grasping the situation, combined with mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system and the masses to participate in the movement "All people protect national security". Along with that, the commune police force continues to effectively maintain propaganda work, warning about methods and tricks of all types of criminals so that people know, raise their vigilance and have measures to prevent and denounce crimes.

Since the beginning of 2025, Thiet Ong Commune Police have deployed more than 100 patrols and controlled the area, promptly detected and handled outstanding issues and organized 38 propaganda and legal dissemination sessions with over 1,000 participants. The propaganda content focuses on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; methods, tricks and activities of criminals so that people can raise their vigilance and proactively prevent them. On the other hand, the Commune Police also organized for people to sign a commitment not to possess weapons, explosives and supporting tools.

In addition, the Commune Police preside over and coordinate the maintenance of the activities of self-defense and self-management models of security and order in the area, typically: "Self-management group on security and order" with 36 participants; "Residential area without crime and social evils", "Commune safe from drugs, no drugs"; "Security cameras" with 62 eyes. At the same time, proactively advise the local Party Committee and government to promote the role of departments, branches, the Fatherland Front, political organizations and the People in the management, assistance and creation of conditions for people who have completed their prison sentences to reintegrate into the community. Thereby, the active participation of the masses in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level has been mobilized.

Implementing the plan of the Provincial Police Director on organizing the collection of DNA samples for relatives of unidentified martyrs, Thiet Ong Commune Police directly coordinated with functional units to promote advocacy and propaganda so that people clearly understand the purpose and meaning of DNA sampling. Proactively conducting screening and making a list of martyrs' relatives to collect samples accurately and promptly. Commune Police officers took advantage of their days off, spent their own travel expenses, approached cases of elderly martyrs' relatives, those in single circumstances, and those with difficulty traveling to take the martyrs' relatives to the DNA sampling station to collect samples according to the correct procedure. This is a task that is both political and has profound humanistic values that each officer and soldier of Thiet Ong Commune Police is striving to carry out.

Promoting the achieved results, Thiet Ong Commune Police continue to advise the Party Committee and the government to effectively perform the task of ensuring security and order in the area. Along with that, proactively and flexibly follow the area, effectively carry out prevention work, promptly detect and effectively fight against all types of crimes and social evils. At the same time, continue to propagate and mobilize people to participate in the movement "All people protect national security", contributing to maintaining security and order, social safety and order in the locality.
