The project of digitizing the Traditional Room using VR360 technology demonstrates the pioneering and proactive spirit in digital transformation of the youth of Hue City Police.

Identify core forces

Last August, the Hue City Police Youth Union launched a youth project: "Applying VR360 technology to digitize the City Police's Traditional Room". This project is to celebrate the 13th City Police Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, with the goal of digitizing the entire space of the Traditional Room - a place to preserve historical marks, achievements and typical images of the City Police force through the ages.

Instead of only accessing through direct visits, now people, officers, soldiers and the younger generation can experience this space vividly and realistically through 360-degree virtual reality technology (VR360). With more than 300 artifacts, images and historical documents in the traditional room recorded, processed and integrated into the virtual tour system, viewers can move, observe, interact and listen to live explanations through devices such as computers, smartphones or virtual reality glasses.

Not only this youth project, Major Le Viet Phuong, Head of the Youth Department of Hue City Police shared: As a core force, the youth of the city police also actively propagate and mobilize people to use applications according to the Project "Developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation (CĐS) in the period 2022 - 2025, vision to 2030 (referred to as Project 06) and implementing online public services.

In the coming time, all members and youth of the City Police will focus on implementing key contents such as: Strengthening propaganda, raising awareness of digital transformation; promoting the pioneering and creative spirit of youth, boldly taking on new and difficult tasks; actively applying information technology, AI, Big Data, digital technology in professional fields and administrative reform; promoting the implementation of youth projects and tasks associated with digital transformation; strengthening the organization of playgrounds, competitions, and practical activities on digital transformation, information security, and digital citizenship, in association with practical requirements of police work.

With the attention and direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and the timely support and guidance of relevant units, Hue City Police has promoted its pioneering role in implementing digital transformation, contributing to modernizing state management, ensuring security and order and serving the people more effectively.

On that basis, the City Police have focused on investing in upgrading the communication system, transmission security equipment; equipping means to serve the application of information technology in work, especially implementing Project 06 and providing online public services. In particular, since the beginning of the year, the City Police have advised and effectively implemented the organization of collecting public opinions on the draft amendments and supplements to the 2013 Constitution through the VNeID application and the Peak Campaign to collect dossiers for granting and exchanging Party membership cards on the platform of the National Database on population, identification and electronic authentication.

The city police also coordinated with functional agencies to integrate nearly 391,000 electronic health records; more than 28,000 referral data, nearly 72,000 re-examination appointment data into VNeID. At the same time, support 180/180 medical examination and treatment facilities to look up health insurance card information using ID cards with more than 2,000,000 searches and make residence notifications via ASM residence notification software at 284 accommodation businesses and 40 medical examination and treatment facilities.

At the first conference organized by the Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06 at the end of July, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of Hue City Police, emphasized: The development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 is not only an inevitable trend but also an urgent requirement to improve the capacity to fight, prevent and combat crimes as well as improve the quality of service to the people.

In the coming time, the affiliated units and the commune and ward police will focus on reviewing and assessing the current status of information technology infrastructure and the level of application of science and technology in the units. From there, propose optimal solutions to increase investment in equipment, upgrade network systems and apply specialized software in professional work. At the same time, build a specific roadmap for the digitalization process, focusing on data digitization, reforming administrative procedures and developing online public services; strengthen training and fostering to improve professional qualifications and IT skills for officers and soldiers, ensuring high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the digital age. In addition, it is necessary to closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, enterprises and related organizations to mobilize resources, share experiences and apply the latest scientific and technological achievements.
