However, after the storm passed, it caused heavy rain and flash floods, causing some railway sections in Ha Hoa district to be flooded, landslides and rocks to flow down, damaging the roadbed, causing serious disruptions and almost paralyzing railway transport activities in this area.

The flooding in Ha Hoa town not only affected the railway but also caused flooding and landslides in the areas around Doan Thuong station, with soil, rocks, silt and mud filling the drainage ditches. From km133+050+km133+095 to km143+125+km143+410, there was a situation of roadbed and rock foundation erosion, roadbed landslides, rock shoulder erosion, and at km144+410+km144+417, the positive slope soil collapsed onto the roadbed. At Viet Tri Bridge (km71+341), a large train drifting freely from upstream collided, causing 2 inspection vehicles to fall and break the 2nd and 3rd spans and 4 rails of the inspection vehicle's track to break. After making a preliminary assessment of the situation on the railway line through Ha Hoa district, the Company's leaders directly directed the teams and units to organize timely remedial and repair work.

While working hard to fix flooded and landslide areas on the road section passing through Ha Hoa district, Mr. Truong Tien Loi - Deputy Head of Railway Infrastructure Maintenance Team No. 4, Vinh Phu Railway Joint Stock Company said: The team currently has 54 people, during the past few days, the whole team has been divided into two shifts working 24/24 hours, in addition, there are other teams in unaffected areas to reinforce. With the situation of landslides, landslides, flooded roads, we have deployed the transportation of rubble to the flooded sections, and transported crushed stone to the flooded and landslide areas. However, there are many construction sites with crossroads far from the road, making the implementation process difficult. However, with the efforts of the Company's staff, by 8:00 a.m. on September 15, the train was open at a speed of 5km/h, and up to now, some locations have increased the speed to 15km/h.

The Hanoi- Lao Cai railway line opened at 8:00 a.m. on September 15.

As expected, the repair work on the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway line will be completed so that trains can operate at the correct speed by the end of October."
