Regarding Boeing 's commitments to accompany Vietnam's development, President Luong Cuong suggested that Boeing soon research and invest in component manufacturing factories, as well as build regional-scale equipment, machinery and aircraft maintenance centers associated with major airports.
According to him, through this, Boeing will not only serve the Vietnamese market but also the entire Southeast Asian region. He also asked Boeing to create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to gradually participate in Boeing's global supply chain, strengthening the foundation of sustainable and long-term cooperation between the two sides.
Vietnam is ready to create all favorable conditions, in accordance with the law, for US investors in general and Boeing in particular to invest and do business effectively and sustainably in Vietnam.
For her part, Ms. Pope considered meeting the President a great honor, and also a testament to the increasingly close cooperative relationship between the US and Vietnam.
Discussing Boeing's strategy and cooperation commitments with Vietnam, Ms. Pope affirmed that she will continue to work with leaders of Vietnamese airlines to gradually concretize agreements between the two sides, thereby continuing to consolidate and further strengthen the cooperative relationship with Vietnamese partners.
According to Ms. Pope, Vietnam currently has 17 Boeing aircraft that Vietnam Airlines is operating. Currently, Vietjet has signed a contract to buy more than 200 aircraft, of which the first will be delivered on this occasion.
These, according to Boeing leaders, are proof that the Southeast Asian market plays a very important role for the group. In particular, Vietnam, with its dynamically developing economy , will become one of the potential markets for Boeing's modern aircraft lines.
