The ambulance took Vu Linh's father from the hospital home. She said she was afraid that her father would die on the way and not be able to return to his beloved home.

But he made it home. She remembered it was around 9am on March 5. They took him upstairs, he opened his eyes and looked relieved to see his house.

His close friends came to visit him as a final farewell, making him emotional and crying. A few hours later, he passed away.
