The ceremony was broadcast online to more than 900 points of junior high schools, high schools, vocational colleges... in the city with various contents such as: Exhibition of images, propaganda videos ; speakers popularizing ways to identify, prevent and combat; interacting with influential people - KOLs on protecting children in cyberspace such as Mr. Ngo Minh Hieu, Runner-up Thuy Van, MC Quoc Khanh; questions and answers about tricks of seduction, manipulation, "online kidnapping"...

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Thanh Truc, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that in reality, there have been cases of bad guys taking advantage of social networks to spread false information, impersonating authorities, teachers, and even creating "kidnapping" scenarios to defraud and appropriate property...

These criminals often target students - an age group full of ambition, but also gullible and inexperienced. Just one strange text message or one unusual phone call, if not careful, they can become victims.

“The campaign “Not alone - Together online safety” carries a simple yet profound message: In the online world, no one is alone. Safety is only true when we protect each other,” Colonel Bui Thanh Truc emphasized.
The campaign aims to: Raise awareness among students and the community about the sophisticated tricks of online kidnapping criminals, equip them with skills to prevent, identify and respond to dangerous situations online, build a sense of responsibility and solidarity: each young person knows how to protect themselves and be a "companion" to protect everyone.

“Be careful when sharing personal information online. Stay calm, do not rush to believe threatening messages or calls or requests for information. When you see unusual signs, boldly share with teachers, family or report to the authorities. And especially, remember: You are never alone,” Colonel Bui Thanh Truc emphasized.

Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also shared: The campaign has a very practical meaning, strongly responding to the Hanoi Convention (United Nations Convention against Cybercrime - demonstrating Vietnam's position, prestige and responsibility in the international arena in efforts to protect vulnerable groups - expected to be signed in Hanoi on October 25-26 - PV) as well as spreading the spirit of the "Not Alone" Campaign initiated by the Digital Trust Alliance, especially urgent and necessary in the context of students - the generation of digital citizens - increasingly interacting with the online environment.

Previously, on October 10, the "Not Alone" Campaign was launched nationwide.
