Michiannai is a company specializing in the production of microbial products and organic fertilizers used in intensive rice cultivation, crop cultivation, livestock, poultry and aquaculture. The products are manufactured using biotechnology, the main ingredients include livestock and poultry manure to create an organic foundation combined with microbial strains to process indigestible substances in the soil, promoting plant growth, development, flowering and fruiting.

Mr. Cao Ba Muon, Deputy General Director of the Company said: Currently, we have 12 products of all kinds, of which 4 are liquid products, the rest are powder products. The outstanding advantage of microbial preparations and organic fertilizers is to decompose organic substances, provide nutrients to increase soil porosity and fertility, increase resistance to pests, drought, and salinity for crops. Biological preparations serve the treatment of by-products and waste in cultivation, livestock, treatment of polluted water sources, decomposition of excess food, and reduction of toxic gas emissions at the bottom of ponds, helping aquatic products to be healthy and grow quickly.

Not only good for crops and livestock, using Michiannai organic fertilizers and microorganisms is also safe for farmers' health. As one of many farmers in Tien Hai who has used it, Ms. Vu Thi Huong, Tra Ly village, Dong Quy commune shared: My family grows 5 sao of rice. After 6 years of using organic fertilizers from Michiannai Microbiological Joint Stock Company, I find the soil loose, not as hard as when using chemical fertilizers. When planting, I feel cool because the soil is smooth and the cultivation layer is deeper than before. Because I do not use inorganic fertilizers and herbicides, snail killers anymore, after each planting season, I no longer have allergies, itchy rashes or sores on my hands and feet. Another good news is that rice productivity has increased, such as Bac Thom No. 7 rice variety reaching 2.7 - 3 quintals/sao, the rice is delicious with a stronger aroma and flavor than with conventional fertilization methods before.
The products of Michiannai Microbiological Joint Stock Company have many advantages and bring benefits to farmers, but in recent times, the company has encountered difficulties in accessing and expanding its consumption market. The main reason is that the process of using fertilizers has changed a lot compared to the way local farmers use inorganic fertilizers. The biggest obstacle is the high production cost, normally farmers spend about 450 - 500 thousand VND/sao of rice, but using Michiannai fertilizers and biological products to care for, prevent and control pests and diseases costs about 900 thousand VND/sao.

To demonstrate the economic efficiency and convince farmers to use organic and microbial products, Michiannai Microbiology Joint Stock Company has organized demonstration models. Specifically, the Company directly organized production on 14 hectares and linked production and rice consumption for farmers in some localities in Tien Hai district with a total area of 25 hectares.

Mr. To Dinh Trieu, General Director of the Company, said: The actual production process using microbiological products and organic fertilizers from Michiannai has proven that rice productivity has increased by 20% compared to the way people usually do. The quality of rice is certified ISO 22000:2018 for food safety and high nutritional content. Through testing, 1kg of rice contains 5.21mg of vitamin B5, fat accounts for 0.83%, protein accounts for 8.61%, glucose accounts for 76.6%. Particularly for areas where earthworms are exploited, the use of microbiological products and organic fertilizers not only helps rice grow well, covers and cools the soil, but also improves the soil and creates food for earthworms, so the yield of earthworms is also higher, reaching about 40 - 45kg/sao, earning an income of more than 20 million VND/sao/year.

With 39 hectares of organic rice cultivation, each year Michiannai Microbiology Joint Stock Company harvests more than 400 tons of paddy, after processing nearly 250 tons of rice. Rice branded as clean Thai Binh 3T rice by Michiannai costs an average of 250,000 - 300,000 VND/yen, while rice produced from the earthworm farming area costs 500,000 VND/yen. The Company's rice products are mainly consumed in the markets of Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Lang Son serving tourists and high-income people. Currently, the Company is preparing to process and package 120kg of sample rice to send to Europe to offer and negotiate with a number of partners to export rice to this very demanding but potential market.

Every year, Michiannai Microbiological Joint Stock Company produces and consumes more than 5,000 tons of organic fertilizers and microbial products, with a revenue of 25 billion VND. From the successful demonstration model, the practical effectiveness in terms of economic value and health safety for farmers and consumers, the Company hopes that the market for fertilizers and microbial products as well as high-quality rice of the enterprise will expand in the near future.
