Intervision 2025 music competition makes a promising return after a 30-year hiatus

On September 16, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a special press conference for the upcoming international music event in Moscow, the Intervision competition that was famous in the 80s and 90s of the last century.

Except for one single event in 2008, Intervision 2025 returns to music lovers after a 30-year hiatus.

In this first "reappearance", Vietnam will also have its first representative - singer Duc Phuc, who will bring a song written by musician Ho Hoai Anh specifically for the "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" contest. The stage of the contest will be set up at the Live Arena stadium.

The important position of the contest was reflected in the prestigious composition of the speakers at the press conference, with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as the main spokesman, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko - Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko and General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst.

At the press conference, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that under the direction of President Vladimir Putin, the Intervision competition is organized first and foremost as an equal dialogue, where national traditions and cultural identity are respected and political colors are completely excluded.

23 countries have sent representatives to attend representing almost every continent in the world - Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America. American singer Brandon Howard has also confirmed his participation.

In addition, Intervision will take place at the Live Arena stadium with the most modern technology in Russia today.

Channel One General Director Konstantin Ernst said that the new stage has been built, with decorations, lighting effects and design all at the highest level. The number of cameras at the competition will set a record for a music event - 36 cameras have been installed, ensuring the audience a spectacular performance.

One particularly interesting thing for Vietnamese audiences that Mr. Ernst revealed is that the cameramen who were consultants for Vietnam Television at the recent A80 event will also be present in the team of 150 cameramen at Intervision this time.

Another interesting thing is that identity will be promoted at Intervision. Although it is an international competition and English is the language of communication, singers can choose to sing in English or their mother tongue.

Foreign Minister Lavrov affirmed that the organizers encourage songs in national languages, encourage national costumes, because the goal that Russia pursues when restoring the Intervision contest is that elements of national art and culture should be felt in the common future of humanity.

After the first competition this year, plans to organize it annually and rotate it in different countries will also be considered and discussed.

Intervision 2025 is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 20 (local time). Vietnamese singer Duc Phuc will perform on the 20th.

The competition is expected to last 3.5 hours and be broadcast live on most major TV channels, the most popular social platforms in Russia as well as in countries with participating artists, so the number of viewers of the competition can reach over 4 billion people./.
