After taking over the state management of testing, granting and exchanging driving licenses, the Traffic Police Department proactively coordinated with relevant units to organize training for officers and soldiers to proficiently use software, equipment and means for testing, granting and exchanging driving licenses; testing skills in driving courses, on roads, etc.
Faced with the large number of students who have not been tested - about 10,800 students of motorbikes and cars of all classes - the Provincial Police Director directed the professional unit to quickly concentrate forces and means, and deploy solutions to resolve the rights of students.
Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Xuan Tung, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, said: The unit has advised the Provincial Police Director to issue a plan to organize driving license examinations for cars and motorbikes continuously on weekdays, including holidays and evenings. Thereby, promptly resolving the remaining test records, meeting the legitimate needs of students.
The Traffic Police Department has promoted the application of technology in monitoring and managing the entire process from theory to practice, ensuring accuracy, transparency and minimizing negativity. Many urgent solutions have been implemented such as increasing the number of examiners, mobilizing more vehicles and facilities and arranging examination schedules outside of working hours to serve the needs of the people.
In addition to maintaining the same exam process as before, after completing the procedural checks and facial recognition, candidates will also be tested for alcohol concentration before the exam; any candidate who violates the alcohol concentration will not be allowed to take the exam, thereby ensuring safety, transparency, and avoiding cheating.
Lieutenant Colonel Duong Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of the Road Motor Vehicle Testing and License Issuance Team, Traffic Police Department, said: With a large backlog of records, officers and soldiers in the Team all clearly determined their spirit and responsibility, proactively overcoming difficulties, working overtime on weekends and holidays, to best serve the needs of the people.
Candidates take the driving test on the driving course. |
From March 1 to September 25, the Provincial Police organized 52 car driving tests and 57 motorcycle driving tests, with a total of nearly 26,000 students taking the test. Through testing and examination, nearly 50% of car driving test students and nearly 70% of motorcycle driving test students passed the test; over 53% of car driving test students and 30% of motorcycle driving test students had to retake the test. The high number of failed tests demonstrates the seriousness and fairness of the tests, thereby improving the quality of training and student output.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Duy Duyen, Phu Thinh commune, said: I waited nearly a year to take the car driving test. Over the past time, I have tried hard to study, going to work during the day, waking up early in the morning to study, and now I have passed the test. I determined that having a driving license is just the first step to having basic knowledge, the important thing is the process of handling situations when participating in traffic on the road.
With the high determination and implementation of synchronous solutions by the authorities, up to now, tens of thousands of driving test and license applications have been resolved, ensuring the legitimate rights of students. From there, the training, testing and licensing of drivers have been put into order, improving the output quality for students, contributing to limiting accidents and building a civilized and modern traffic culture.
