Da Nang leads the list of destinations searched by American tourists.

According to the Agoda platform, Da Nang City has seen a spike in searches by American tourists, with an increase of up to 1,538%.

Da Nang City Department of Tourism said that data from Agoda (a company specializing in providing popular online booking applications worldwide ) shows that American tourists search for information about Da Nang tourism the most.

Agoda collects information and data from online platforms, showing that Da Nang is the most searched city by American tourists in January 2025, surpassing Tokyo (Japan) and Bangkok (Thailand).

In 2024, according to Agoda, the top five cities searched for by American travelers are Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul (South Korea), Manila (Philippines) and Hong Kong (China).

However, in January 2025, Da Nang City entered the top 5 cities of interest to North American tourists.

The number of searches from American travelers for Da Nang increased dramatically by 1,538% compared to the same period in 2024, this is the most impressive growth among the top destinations searched on Agoda.

Not only Da Nang, on Agoda, Vietnam has become the most searched destination for American tourists, Vietnam has risen from 4th place in 2023 to 1st place in 2024 in the list of destinations of interest to American tourists.

This strong growth is also in line with the Vietnamese Government's strategy, which currently aims to welcome 1.3 million American tourists by 2028 and make the US one of the top 3 markets sending visitors to Vietnam.

Additionally, American tourists are now Vietnam's second-largest source market, behind only South Korea, according to accommodation search data on Agoda.

In 2024, Da Nang City will welcome nearly 11 million overnight guests, of which 4.1 million will be international visitors.

Regarding the structure of international visitors staying, tourists from the US ranked 6th in the top 10 international visitor markets in Da Nang City, accounting for 4.21%.

Tourists from the US as well as North America are included in Da Nang City's attraction strategy, with a roadmap to promote the opening of international flights.
