Da Nang sets target of average GRDP of 8,500 USD/person

The scale of GRDP at current prices by 2030 will reach over 660,000 billion VND; the average GRDP per capita will reach 8,500 USD/person. In particular, the average growth rate of the private economy will reach 11.5-12%/year, contributing about 60-62% of GRDP.

The number of private enterprises operating in the economy increased by 20-30%; there are more than 70 science and technology enterprises; 500 innovative start-up enterprises; the proportion of digital economy reached 35-40% of GRDP.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Da Nang - shared that setting growth targets for the private economy is based on the growth and contribution of this sector in the period of 2021 - 2025 and the city's capabilities in the coming years.

“In the spirit of Resolution 68 on maximum support for the private economy, the city has also directed and implemented support for the development of the private economy. At the same time, it has built programs and plans to support the private economy every year,” Ms. Huong said.

The Da Nang Party Committee informed that to promote the development of the private economy to become the most important driving force of the economy, Da Nang will focus on removing bottlenecks in land, credit, technology, market, and improving the investment and business environment. At the same time, it will actively support small and medium enterprises, household economy, and cooperative economy of household businesses...

In addition, it is necessary to propose incentive mechanisms to attract PPP, BOT, BT projects and investors, especially strategic investors in the Free Trade Zone, International Financial Center, Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, etc.; potential investors, leading enterprises in science and technology, etc.

The socio-economic development perspective of Da Nang in the period 2025-2030 will be oriented towards digital economy, circular economy, green economy, and marine economy. Develop synchronous technical infrastructure; smart governance and management. Develop the economy in harmony with cultural and social development, associated with maintaining national defense, security, and sovereignty over seas and islands.

During the 2020-2025 term, the average GRDP growth of Da Nang city reached 6.82%/year, Quang Nam province reached 4.6%/year, and the two localities together reached 5.8%/year.
