Da Nang starts construction of a super cultural, entertainment, commercial and service complex worth nearly 80,000 billion VND invested by Sun Group

On August 19, Sun Group Corporation coordinated with the People's Committee of Da Nang City to hold the groundbreaking ceremony of the super project of the international-class cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park (Da Nang Downtown). The project celebrates the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The project affirms Da Nang's aspiration to become a leading tourism , commercial and entertainment center in the region.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Da Nang Downtown project.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were leaders of central agencies and leaders of departments and branches representing Da Nang City.

Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of the super project "High-class cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park".

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City emphasized: "The Da Nang Downtown project was born at the right time to activate new development opportunities, increase the competitiveness of the city's economy and affirm its position as "The most worth-visiting, worth-living, worth-investing city in Vietnam". With the unique planning and experience of investor Sun Group , we believe that the Da Nang Downtown High-class Cultural, Entertainment and Commercial Service Park will be a new driving force for development, contributing to the completion of the city's tourism infrastructure. This is also a strong catalyst to promote the service, trade, culture and arts industries to break through together".

Design perspective of Da Nang Downtown project.

The Da Nang Downtown super complex with a scale of 76.92 hectares, located in Hoa Cuong ward (old Asia Park), with a total investment of about 79,790 billion VND, includes a cultural and entertainment park, a theater, a bustling riverside commercial area, a green park embracing the Han River and the tallest 69-storey iconic tower in the Central region... Considered a miniature city in the heart of the "Han River City" - Da Nang Downtown is where the lights converge, culture flourishes and life is vibrant day and night.

Possessing a prime location along the Han River, between Tran Thi Ly Bridge and Tien Son Bridge, Da Nang Downtown Cultural and Entertainment Park is considered as the "center of the center". This is also the rare remaining diamond land of Da Nang, the "fireworks stage" of the future.

With its central location, Da Nang Downtown is planned to become an ideal destination for entertainment, recreation and shopping, the most bustling night economic complex in Da Nang, comparable to Clarke Quay or Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Da Nang Downtown will be the entertainment center of Central Vietnam with many impressive cultural and artistic events.

The centerpiece of Da Nang Downtown is the Cultural and Entertainment Park, including: a theater of over 9,000 m2 with 4,000 seats (including an Opera hall and a multi-purpose room), a museum area, an exhibition center...

Here, Sun Group will invest in high-class outdoor art performances with the participation of world-class artists, organize fireworks displays, and light up the night economy of the Han River city.

Inspired by the poetic waves of the Han River, the Cultural and Entertainment Park has a "green" design, with the highlight of the internal landscape being a quiet lagoon, along with winding water channels spreading around embracing the vibrant green strip, creating a poetic harmony between "water - nature - cultural and artistic activities".

Enhancing the experience for tourists to enjoy culture are the activities in the Commercial Service Complex. High-rise and low-rise subdivisions create a space for tourism service business, a bustling shopping space, creating a continuous flow: visitors come to have fun, stay, experience services and enjoy the night economic life at the same location.

The low-rise subdivision is arranged to embrace the central park; meanwhile, the high-rise commercial and service area integrates full amenities: swimming pool, gym, children's play area and vibrant commercial space.

69-storey tower - the focal point of the super project complex of Cultural Park, Entertainment, and High-class Commercial Services.

The special highlight is the 69-storey tower - the second tallest in Vietnam (408m), a vibrant symbol of Da Nang rising in the new era - a place connecting the past and present, towards the future. This is expected to become an architectural symbol of the Central region.

The tower design is inspired by the five elements, the tower body evokes the image of the traditional white ao dai of Vietnamese women, the top of the tower is a special exhibition space, shaped like a flame with an arc-shaped space where the sunlight passes through and shines bright rays like a guiding lighthouse. The tower integrates multi-utilities such as 5-star hotel, class A office, luxury apartments, shopping mall, restaurant, bar, observatory, and conference and event area, creating an "all in one" destination, from accommodation, work to experiencing classy and unique services.

Started on the same day, August 19, with nearly 250 key works and projects nationwide, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Independence Day, Da Nang Downtown not only lights up the prosperity along the Han Giang River, but also becomes the "new heart" of the city, harmonizing the past, present and future in the modern flow.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - Chairman of Sun Group Central Region spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of Da Nang Downtown.

“This will be a 24/7 destination bustling with sounds and lights, contributing to awakening the night economy, making Da Nang a “city worth living - worth waking up”, with memorable experiences for tourists. The project is expected to be on par with famous night entertainment complexes in Shanghai, Hong Kong (China), Singapore... bringing Da Nang to the level of an international city”, affirmed Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of Sun Group Central Region.

Also at the event, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – BIDV presented a letter of credit commitment with a maximum amount of nearly 67.7 trillion VND to Sun Group to implement the Da Nang Downtown project.

After merging with Quang Nam, Da Nang is the largest city in Vietnam, owning 2 world cultural heritages, 2 airports, supported by two super-plans: "Vietnam's first Free Trade Zone" and "International Financial Center". The city is being propelled by many new dynamic projects, of which Danang Downtown is the most brilliant symbol, activating new development spaces in the era of growth.
