Da Nang launches journalism and propaganda award on digital transformation

The Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City held a press conference to launch the press award "Propaganda on digital transformation of the city" in 2024.

Accordingly, the contestants include all Vietnamese citizens, journalists, authors, groups of authors from press agencies whose works are published in the press; content suitable to the theme and scope of the contest is eligible to participate in the contest.

The Organizing Committee will award 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes for the winning works with a total prize value of 32 million VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang informed at the press conference.

The official press award receives entries from July 5 to September 30 via email: giaichuyendoiso@danang.gov.vn or by post to the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang, said that the press award for propaganda on digital transformation was organized with the desire to promote propaganda, raise awareness, social responsibility and create consensus among the people. At the same time, promote the role, dynamism, sensitivity, creativity and honor the efforts of the press force in propaganda, responding to the theme: "Digital transformation of Da Nang city".

“This press award is an opportunity to recognize and encourage individuals and units participating in propagating the city's important policies and guidelines on digital transformation; launching a movement to write articles to spread messages, solutions, models, and good initiatives in digital transformation implementation. Thereby, contributing to promoting the communication of the image of Da Nang City - a smart city, digital transformation with domestic and international friends" , Ms. Phuong said.

The Department of Information and Communications also proposed a number of suggested topics that need attention, such as: Digital transformation content in the Digital Transformation Project in Da Nang City by 2025, with a vision to 2030; Digital transformation content in the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; plan to implement digital transformation tasks in the city by 2024;

In addition, there are also good models and practices in digital transformation that some agencies have deployed such as: "One touch to Da Nang" system, metaverse application to support tourists of the Department of Tourism ; piloting real-time traffic light control solution and online public service deployment model for the entire process of issuing and renewing online driver's licenses of the Department of Transport; electronic transcript signing model of the Department of Education and Training...
