The body of a child missing due to drowning at Sam Son beach has been found.

Fire Police and Rescue Force assisted in bringing the child to shore and handing him over to his family.

Previously, at 8:25 a.m. on July 8, 2025, a tragic drowning accident occurred at Sam Son beach C. Two young children, siblings - NTK (born in 2018) and NNM (born in 2019), both residing in Binh Nguyen commune, Phu Tho province, were swimming in the sea when their swimming buoys suddenly capsized.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the Sam Son Coast Guard immediately deployed a rescue team. K. was brought ashore in time, given first aid on the spot and quickly transferred to Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital in critical condition. However, M. was swept away by the waves and went missing.

Faced with that situation, the Provincial Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Department coordinated with the Sam Son Sea Rescue Team, the Sam Son Ward Police force, local organizations, people and fishermen to carry out a large-scale search. Many specialized vehicles such as canoes, fishing boats, underwater detection equipment, and professional diving teams were mobilized from early morning to late at night for many consecutive days.

In parallel with the search at sea, the authorities also sent a dispatch requesting coastal localities to coordinate in monitoring and checking along the coastline in case the child’s body was swept away by the water. Local people showed a spirit of compassion and high responsibility when many people volunteered to support the rescue team in any way possible.

After 4 days of searching, the miracle did not happen. On the morning of July 11, the body of NNM was found washed up by waves on Me Island. This heartbreaking incident once again sounded the alarm about safety management at beach resorts , especially for young children. Parents should absolutely not take their eyes off their children, even when they are using lifebuoys; at the same time, authorities need to increase propaganda and arrange for rescue forces to regularly check crowded areas where people swim.
