Due to the impact of storm No. 10, the past two days in Nong Cong and Tuong Linh communes, Thanh Hoa province, have been experiencing heavy and prolonged rains, causing serious flooding, isolating many villages. The two communes have more than 300 households with more than 1,100 people who had to evacuate to avoid the flood.

Due to the sudden rise of floodwaters on the Chuoi River, on the afternoon of September 29, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police rescue force used motorboats and jet skis to bring more than 60 elderly people and children living in Con Vanh village, Nong Cong commune, who were isolated by rising floodwaters, to safety.

In the evening and night of the same day, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police continued to mobilize more than 100 officers and soldiers from professional departments to Tuong Linh commune - the flood center of the old Nong Cong district, coordinating with local forces to support hundreds of local people to evacuate from dangerous floodwaters to safety.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thai Quang Hoang - Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police - directly went to the scene of Tuong Linh commune, directing the police to coordinate with local forces and militia to review and grasp the situation of each area and each household according to the motto "people's safety is above all, first" to help people avoid the flood.
