The 1st Congress of Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030 was held in December.

BAC NINH - On October 1, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to deploy the Plan to organize the Congress of grassroots and commune-level Trade Unions towards the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

T According to the plan, the trade union congresses of 25 wards and communes (according to regulations, localities with more than 5,000 union members and 10 grassroots unions are allowed to establish trade union organizations) will be completed before October 20; the grassroots trade union congresses and grassroots trade unions will be completed before November 30. The official congress time will not exceed half a day, and it is recommended to be linked with the summary of the 2025 trade union work of the unit or enterprise.

The grassroots and commune-level trade union congresses have the task of summarizing and evaluating the implementation of the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term (up to the time of the Congress), proposing directions for activities for the new term; amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; and electing the new Executive Committee of the Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.

The 1st Congress of the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030, will be held after the Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and will be completed in December 2025; the Congress will last 1.5 days. The Congress will convene no more than 300 delegates; guest delegates will not exceed 30% of the total number of officially convened delegates.

Representatives of the grassroots trade union discussed a number of issues related to the Trade Union Congress.

During the Provincial Trade Union Congress, delegates focused on discussing and approving the summary report of trade union activities in the past term; deciding on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the coming term. At the same time, they contributed opinions on draft documents of the Trade Union Congress at higher levels; summarized recommendations from union members and workers on issues related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers and trade union activities; contributed opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

At the Congress, the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the new term of the union and key positions will be announced; and the decision to appoint delegates to attend the Congress of the higher-level union will be announced.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Thach Van Chung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, quickly informed the delegates about the results of the 1st Congress of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, after 2 days of urgent, serious, democratic and responsible work, the 1st Congress of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 passed the draft Resolution, agreed on 5 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs, 4 main groups of solutions for the term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress announced the Politburo 's Decision on appointing the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 71 comrades; the Provincial Party Standing Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 18 comrades.

Regarding the Trade Union Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, comrade Thach Van Chung suggested continuing to innovate content and form in a practical and effective direction, associated with digital transformation in trade union activities, focusing on quality, saving time and costs, and ensuring progress.

The political report of the Congress must correctly, objectively and comprehensively assess the situation and results of implementing the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress at its level in the past term; at the same time, determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the new term, ensuring that they are close to the actual situation and highly feasible for effective implementation.

He noted that the preparation of the contents on the personnel of the Executive Committee and the positions in the Executive Committee must ensure the correct standards, meeting the requirements of the structure, quantity and composition. At the Congress, the delegates focused on contributing opinions and recommendations on the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers and union activities; participating in giving opinions on amending the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, ensuring the leadership principles of the Party and the superior trade union, in accordance with the actual situation of the union in the new development period.
