Attending the Congress were comrade Mai Thi Hong Sim - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Khong Lao commune; representatives of the Propaganda and Social Work Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Khong Lao commune and 128 typical delegates representing all classes of people and ethnic groups in the commune.
During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khong Lao commune continued to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on propagating and mobilizing the people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; continued to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc; improved the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations; well implemented the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; promoted democracy, effectively carried out social supervision and criticism; prevented corruption, practiced thrift; expanded people's foreign affairs activities; improved the effectiveness of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; promoted democracy, paid attention to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people; actively participated in building a strong Party and political system, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development...
The Fatherland Front and its member organizations coordinated to eliminate 318 temporary and dilapidated houses with a total amount of over 18 billion VND; supported the construction of 5 "Great Unity" houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 240 million VND; chaired and organized 3 social supervision and criticism sessions; coordinated and organized 40 meetings with voters; received and synthesized 165 opinions from voters requesting competent authorities to consider and resolve... The organizational apparatus continued to be innovated, the content, methods of operation, and capacity of the Front's staff were increasingly improved; actively participated in building a clean and strong Party and government; acted as a good bridge between the Party Committee, the government and the people.
Speaking at the Congress, comrade Hoang Kieu Anh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and commended the results that the Fatherland Front Committee of Khong Lao commune had achieved in the past term. At the same time, he suggested that in the coming term, the Fatherland Front of Khong Lao commune and its member organizations continue to promote the potential, advantages, core political role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building the great national unity bloc, promoting democracy, creating social consensus, strongly arousing the tradition of patriotism, national pride, belief, and aspiration to contribute to building Khong Lao commune to develop sustainably, contributing to building Lai Chau province to develop rapidly, greenly and sustainably, together with the whole country entering a new era - an era of strong, prosperous, civilized and happy development...
The Congress unanimously elected 56 comrades to join the Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Khong Lao commune, term I, 2025 - 2030; Consulted to elect 07 official delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, term 2025 - 2030.
At the first working session, the Congress elected Mr. Chang A Son to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khong Lao commune, term I, 2025 - 2030.
